Teradata Physical Database Design

This course defines the processes and procedures to followwhen designing a database for implementation on aTeradata system. It explains how to transform a logicaldata model via an extended data model into a physicalmodel. The focus of this course is on the CREATE TABLEstatement, including all aspects of table design. Topicsinclude: perm and spool space allocation, sizing criteria,data distribution and hashing, primary and secondaryindexes, partitioning, collecting statistics.
