Description

Course helps prepare students for the SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA) in Enterprise Linux certification exam.

This course provides a comprehensive foundation for administering SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 16. Participants will get to grips with the command line, the file system, the Vim editor, and remote administration using both SSH and the new web-based Cockpit tool. The course also covers user and permission management, process management and task scheduling, storage and network configuration, the SELinux security framework, system logging, and basic deployment of a SLES 16 system.

Goals

Participants will learn the following concepts and skills:
  • Navigating the Bash shell and executing Linux commands
  • The Linux file system hierarchy and managing the file system

  • Performing remote system administration using SSH and Cockpit

Target

This course is primarily intended for system administrators and consultants who are new to Linux and need to perform day-to-day administration of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 16.
