The ITIL methodology helps IT managers effectively build, develop and optimize user-friendly IT, both for suppliers and clients of IT services. 

The ITIL® 4 Foundation course describes the key concepts, processes, functions and roles of the ITIL service lifecycle. This course consists of lectures and practical tasks and prepares participants for the ITIL® 4 Foundation certification exam.



ITIL is a “method” originally created by British government to tell organizations how to “do their IT right”. It covers many areas such as how to solve incidents, how to handle SLAs (agreements between IT and other parties), how to set up your Service Desk and many more. These areas are also sometimes called the IT Service Management, ITIL is therefore known as a framework for IT Service Management. Since ITIL covers a lot of practices that has proven to be very successful in the IT industry it has become very popular worldwide.



ITIL is telling you that your IT is a system that exists to deliver value for your business whatever your business is – manufacturing, government, telco, .. this system is called the Service Value System (SVS). SVS’s primary goal is to make sure that IT is really valuable for its business and customers – it enables the business to work well, secure, efficient, and be successful – whatever success means to them.
