Corporate Strategy: Analysis & Implementation

Course Objectives:

This seminar will address the key components of an effective strategy, and the steps required for an effective strategy formulation. It will highlight critical issues such as the relationship of strategy to industry structure, and the critical sources of competitive advantage such as cost leadership and differentiation.  It will also discuss the strengths and limitations of the various tools used for strategic analysis, and emphasize the role of implementation effectiveness  for strategic success.

Upon completing this seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the role and scope of strategy – what it is, what it is not, and how it is related to organizational effectiveness.
  • Understand how successful strategy formulation involves matching a firm’s resources with the market needs
  • Analyze the sources of a company’s competitive advantage 
  • Evaluate and use multiple tools for strategic analysis
  • Realize the importance of effective execution to realize the benefits of a well-developed strategy
