As part of a follow-up course on PRITEN1, we will focus on the legal issues of Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud computing. Currently, most major technology companies are moving towards providing Software as a Service. This model, which includes user data in the cloud, has many benefits for both the buyer and the provider. However, there is a number of new challenges in terms of data protection (in particular personal data), security, liability for third-party components and work, and continuity. In the course, we will explain how to properly provide SaaS, how to handle liability for SaaS from both the buyer's and the supplier's point of view, ensure proper migration and data management, and create exit strategies.
